Do I need to buy my games through ArcadeOS?expand_more
No. ArcadeOS is designed for arcades that bring their own game licenses — personal Steam libraries, direct developer deals, or commercial licenses you've sourced yourself. We don't run a content marketplace and we don't take a cut of content revenue. If you're looking for a platform-bundled game library, we're probably not the right fit.
How is this different from SpringboardVR or Synthesis?expand_more
Springboard and Synthesis (now one company after the 2025 acquisition) make most of their revenue on per-minute game licensing. Their management tools support that business model. ArcadeOS is the opposite: a flat-fee management platform with a built-in game launcher for operators who already have their games. Different model, different ideal customer.
How long does setup take?expand_more
Most arcades take their first booking within 2 hours. Set up your company profile, add your booths, set prices, install the booking widget on your website, and (on Pro) install the PC agent on each booth computer. Matrix VR rolled out 5 locations in under a week.
What headsets and PCs does the launcher support?expand_more
Any Windows PC running Steam and SteamVR. That covers Valve Index, HTC Vive (Pro / Focus / XR Elite via Business Streaming), Meta Quest in Link mode, Pico via Streaming Assistant, and Varjo. The agent is a small Electron app that runs in the background and auto-updates.
Can I migrate from Springboard, Synthesis, or another platform?expand_more
Yes. We import customer databases, booking history, and session prices from CSV exports. Typical migration: one 45-minute call, data imported overnight, live within 48 hours. We handle it during your free trial so there's no overlap cost.
How do my customers pay for online bookings?expand_more
On Pro and above, bookings on your website are processed through your own Stripe account — connect it in 2 minutes, payments land directly in your bank, ArcadeOS never touches the money. In-arcade payments (cash, card terminal) are recorded through the cash register module.
You're a Ukrainian company — is that a risk I should worry about?expand_more
Fair question. The product is hosted on Google Cloud, not on servers in Ukraine. The team operates remotely and has done so since 2022. Your billing runs through Stripe (a US company). Matrix VR has run 5 Ukrainian locations through the war on ArcadeOS without downtime.
Can I cancel anytime?expand_more
Yes. Cancel in-app, pay only for the month you're in, export your full dataset on the way out. No annual contracts, no cancellation fees.
